The SOM 62 motorized has been redesigned according to the modular principle with a 1:6 zoom optics system and extended with a Free Motion Magnetic System. This makes the positioning of the microscope head smoothly, exactly and without any effort.

Perfect Balance

The Free Motion Magnetic System allows effortless positioning of the microscope head in combination with the balance arrangement system. The two magnetic clutches can be released at the press of a button and the head then moves in any direction with supreme ease and convenience. Let go off the button and the head is reliably fixed in position again - even if the tube or accessories are attached.

The agronomical controls for motorized Zoom, motorized fine focussing and Magnetic clutches in the microscope body ensures a very fast, precise and safe microscope head adjustment also with one hand.

Spot illumination

Our coaxial fibre optic illumination 15V / 150 Watt or Xenonlux 180 Watt, combined with the adjustable field diaphragm, evenly illuminates the whole Field-of-view down to Spot-Illumination of approx. 10 mm diameter, thus providing ideal shadow-free illumination, while avoiding reflections coming from instruments.

Whether as “stand alone” desktop version, installation to the mobile stand microscopes or ceiling mount system, different adaptation possibilities provides a very fast installation without use of special tools, also to existing Kaps microscopes.

The assembly position is in such a way arranged, after Xenon lamp failure the fibre optic cable can be switch within seconds into the existing light source and allows continuous working without large time delay. The integrated hour meter ensures a punctual exchanging of the lamp so that it can not come to unexpected failure.

The output intensity is controlled via a mechanical diaphragm by turning a knob and offers the most advanced pure daylight (5.600° K colour temperature).
