Karl Kaps GmbH was founded in 1946 in Asslar, Germany near the city of Wetzlar, an area known for producing world-class optics. During its proud 50 year history Karl Kaps GmbH has built an excellent reputation in over 70 countries as a leading manufacturer of surgical and operating microscopes used in various microsurgical disciplines such as ENT, Opthalmology, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, hand and plastic surgery and the dental field. Today the company is in its third generation of family ownership and is managed by Mr. Karheinz Kaps and Mr. Holger Kaps.

In addition to producing examination and surgical microscopes, we also produce laboratory microscopes, colposcopes, slit lamps and rifle scopes. The company also produces a full range of optical and mechanical OEM replacement parts according customer specifications.
